DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 1800Z February 13, 2006

Alabama:
A fire in southern Alabama in eastern Escambia county near Damascus is
producing a moderately dense narrow smoke plume that is extending to
the southeast and reaches the northern border between Santa Rosa and
Okaloosa counties in Florida.

Louisiana and the northern Gulf of Mexico:
A fire on Marsh Island is producing a narrow plume of thin density that
now extends to the southwest of the Island and arcs around to south and
south-southeast of the island. The leading edge of the plume is about
350 km south-southeast of Marsh Island.
