DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0202Z MARCH 11, 2006

Areas of dense dust blown by strong surface winds were visible over
southeastern New Mexico and southwestern Texas.

Florida:
A large fire near Titusville in eastern Florida produced a plume of
dense smoke that extended to the northeast out over the Atlantic.

Arkansas:
A fire in southeastern Nevada County caused a plume of thin smoke that
moved to the northeast over western Clark County.

Texas:
Thin smoke drifted northward from the fires observed in northeastern
Harrison, southeastern Coryell County and southern Frio County. A large
fire in NE Oldham/ SW Moore produced a plume of dense smoke that extended
toward the northeast.

Oklahoma Panhandle:
A large fire was observed in southeastern Texas Conty. A plume of dense
smoke extended to the northeast to Seward and Meade Counties in SW Kansas.
