DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0145Z MARCH 27, 2006

South Carolina:
A fire near Charleston produced a plume of moderately dense smoke that
extended southward to the Atlantic. A plume of moderately dense smoke
stretched southward from a fire in western Barnwell County to Beaufort and
out to sea. A fire in western Oconee County produced a plume of thin smoke
that drifted southward over Franklin and Hart Counties in NE Georgia.

Alabama:
Several thin plumes of smoke extended southward from fires in SW Barbour,
W Dale, W Hale and S Mobile County.

Mississippi:
Thin plumes of smoke extended southward from the fires in SW Lamar and
SE Pearl River.

Louisiana:
A plume of thin smoke drifted northward from a fire in central Cameron
Parish to central Newton County in NE Texas.
