DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0145Z June 04, 2006.

Alaska/Canada:
Thin smoke originating from fires in Russia is visible from south of
Kodiak Island across SE Alaska to northern Northwest Territories in
Canada. A large fire in eastern Wade Hampton County in SW Alaska produced
a plume of dense smoke that drifted southward to western Bethel County.

Great Lakes/Southeast Canada:
An area of thin smoke and haze extends from central Quebec south of
James Bay to the Great Lakes.

Southern Florida:
A large fire in central Broward County produced a plume of moderately
dense smoke that drifted toward the NE over the Atlantic. Another fire
in western Collier County produced a plume of moderately dense smoke
that extended to the NE to southeastern Hendry County.
