DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 1545Z August 10, 2006.

California:
A light plume of smoke is visible in northwest California from fires
yesterday.

Oregon:
Light smoke can be seen in visible imagery crossing into central Oregon
from fires that were burning throughout northern California and western
Oregon yesterday.

Montana:
Smoke from wildfires that were burning in central Idaho yesterday can
be seen moving east to northeast across central Montana.

Southern Canada:
Moderately dense smoke can be seen mixed in with clouds across southern
British Columbia,Alberta,Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Northwest Territories:
Light to moderately dense smoke can be seen moving southeast from Great
Bear Lake across the western half of the Hudson Bay and down through
Manitoba and western Ontario.
