California: The persistent fire in northern California continues to produce smoke which is drifting slowly to the north and west of the fire source. The large wildfire burning in the Los Padres National Forest in Ventura county is still producing smoke. In addition, an unusual long narrow plume of smoke, maybe 30 nmi wide at most, extends from just south of San Francisco to southeast California and then across central Arizona into extreme west-central New Mexico.
