DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0200Z November 20, 2006

Louisiana:
A fire in northern Morehouse county is emitting a light plume of
smoke south SE into Richland and West Carroll counties.  In Bienville
county a light plume of smoke is moving south SE into Jackson county.
A fire in Beauregard county is producing a moderately dense plume of
smoke moving south into Calcasieu and Cameron counties.  A 210-230 km
long plume of smoke is being produced by a fire in Terrebonne county.
The smoke is moderately dense and extends into the Gulf of Mexico.

Texas:
In Jefferson county a long narrow plume of smoke from a fire can be
seen stretching 115-130 km south into the Gulf of Mexico.  A fire in
southeast Shelby county is emitting a moderately dense plume of smoke
moving south into Sabine, San Augustine, Jasper and Newton counties.

Arkansas:
A fire in southwest Grant County is producing a moderately dense smoke
plume that is moving south SE into Cleveland, Dallas, Calhoun and
Bradley counties.

Florida:
A fire in Brevard county near Cape Canaveral is producing a moderately
dense plume of smoke moving south SE about 100-120 km into the Atlantic
Ocean.
Numerous fires are burning in Palm Beach and Broward counties emitting
light smoke that is moving as far south as Miami-Dade county.

Arizona/New Mexico:
Small fires in Graham county Arizona and McKinley county New Mexico are
producing light smoke plumes moving north to northwest.
