DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0200Z December 16, 2006

Arizona/California/Baja California:
A fire in central Yuma county east of the city of Yuma is producing
a moderately dense plume of smoke moving west NW into Imperial county
California and La Paz county Arizona.
Two fires in northeastern Baja California are producing moderate to
thick plumes of smoke moving north into Imperial county California.

Oklahoma/Arkansas
Fires on the border of Oklahoma (Le Flore county) and Arkansas (Scott
county) and in the Quachita National Forest are producing two plumes of
moderately dense smoke moving north into Sebastian county Arkansas. The
fire burning in Oklahoma, the smoke is staying within Le Flore county.

Georgia/North Carolina:
A fire in Warren county is producing a light plume of smoke moving east
into McDuffie and Columbia counties.  Another fire nearby in the county
of Richmond is emitting a light plume of smoke moving east into the
county of Aiken located in southwestern South Carolina
In Richmond county North Carolina, a fire is producing a light plume of
smoke moving east into Moore, Hoke and Scotland counties.
