DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 1615Z April 19, 2007

Southeast:
The large fire in Georgia's Wade County continues to produces massive
amounts of dense smoke currently moving to the Southwest into Lowndes
County where it continues across the Florida panhandle through Taylor
County and into the Gulf. Residual smoke stretches across western Florida
down to Hillsborough County.

In Broward County a fire is producing locally dense smoke moving to
the southeast out into the Atlantic. This plume stretches just south of
Fort Lauderdale.

Central Plains/Mississippi Valley:
Light residual smoke from yesterdays fires in the central plains can
be seen over Southern South Dakota, Eastern Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa,
and Missouri.
