DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0200Z June 12, 2007

Manitoba/Ontario:
Fires on the border of the two provinces and northeast of Lake Winnipeg
(near/around 54N/93W) are producing area of thin to moderately dense
smoke moving northwest into eastern Manitoba.
Fires in central Manitoba (near/around 55N/96W) are producing moderately
dense to thick smoke moving northwest across the province.

Alberta/Saskatchewan/Northwest Territories:
Fires in the Buffalo National Park and west of Lake Athabasca are
producing large areas of light to moderately dense smoke moving northeast
into the Yukon Territories.  The smoke farthest east and nearing northern
Manitoba is most likely smoke from the days before.

Alabama:
A fire burning in Baldwin county Alabama has been producing moderately
dense smoke throughout the day.  Smoke is moving south into Mobile county
Alabama and Jackson county Mississippi and into the Gulf of Mexico.

Virginia/North Carolina:
A fire in Southampton county Virginia is producing a light plume of
smoke south into Northampton county North Carolina.

Oklahoma:
In Choctaw county a fire is emitting thin smoke into Pushmataha.

Arkansas:
A fire in Little River county is emitting thin smoke north into Sevier
county Arkansas and into Polk located in Oklahoma.

California:
Small fires in Santa Clara and Contra Costa counties are producing thin
plumes of smoke moving east.  The fire in Contra Costa is emitting smoke
east into Alameda.
