Alaska: Two fires in eastern and central Yukon-Koyukuk county were producing light to isolated moderately dense smoke. Intermountain Region: Dense smoke covers much of central, south central and eastern Idaho and stretches north northeast into southwest Montana. Complexes near the Idaho-Nevada border and in central Idaho were the primary sources of this smoke. Clouds precluded identification of smoke plumes in much of Utah and Washington. Moderately dense residual smoke...discernible only with low sun angles...extends well into Canada. California: Zaca fire in Santa Barbara County was producing a smoke plume that extended from northeast to southwest into the Pacific.
