DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Idaho/Montana/Washington/Oregon: Numerous fires in central Idaho, northwestern Wyoming and western Montana produced moderately dense to very dense smoke that extended eastward across Montana/NE Wyoming to South Dakota. Less dense smoke extended farther east to northern Iowa. Fires in northern Chelan County in northwestern Washington caused mostly thin smoke that drifted northward. California: A large blaze in eastern Tulare County produced thin and moderately dense smoke that extended northward across Inyo County to western Nevada. Southeastern United States: Thin remnant smoke and haze were observed over the Carolinas and northern Florida.
