DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0140Z September 26, 2007

Alasak:
The fires in northern Alasak are still burning and producing locally very
dense plumes of smoke that are moving both southward and northwestward.

Oregon/California:
A fire in western Marion county of Oregon is producing a thin plume of
smoke that is moving southerly into central of northern Lake county. Fires
in Deshutes, Crook, Marney, and Klamath counties of Oregon are producing
moderately dense to locally dense plumes of smoke that are moving
easterly then southerly and are mainly influencing Dechutes, Crook,
Marney, Malheur, and Klamath counties of Oregon. A fire in southeastern
Glenn county of northern California is producing a moderately dense plume
of smoke that is moving southeasterly into the intersection of Blenn,
Butte and Colusa counties of northern California.

Texas/Arkansas:
A lot of small fires in southern Arkansas and northern Texas are producing
thin to moderately dense plume of smoke that are influencing localy. The
fire cluster in central Castro and northern Lamb counites of northern
Texas are producing thin to moderately dense plumes of smoke that are
mainly moving westward and is reaching the NM-TX border.

Florida:
A fire in western Liberty county of Florida Panhandle is producing a
thin to moderately dense plume of long stretched smoke that is moving
westward across Calhoun, Gulf, and Bay counties into the Gulf of Mexico.

North Carolina/Virginia:
Several fires in Washington and Pamlico counties of North Carolina coast
are producing a moderately dense to locally dense plumes of smoke that
norterly and influencing locally. A fire in Charlotte county of southern
Virginia is producing a moderately dense to locally dense plume of smoke
that is moving northward into Fluvanna county of Virginia. A fire in
Montgomary county of central North Carolina is producing a thin plume of
smoke that is moving easterly into Rowan and Cabarrus counties of North
Carolina. A fire in Sussex county of southeastern Virginia is producing
a thin plume of smoke that is moving northerly to the county boundary.
