DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 1625Z March 18, 2008
Well defined plume of smoke moving northeast into southern TX border from
a fire to the south of Monterrey, Mexico. Elsewhere, general haziness
seen in the western Gulf of Mexico likely from remnant smoke.

- Widespread cloudiness may prevent the detection of smoke even from significant fires.
