DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

North Carolina: Thick smoke from the Evans Road fire extends toward the west then bends northward into southern Virginia . Smoke from the South 1 fire moves westward a short distance than also bends northward into eastern Virginia. Dispersed smoke from theses fires covers much of North Carolina, Virgina , Maryland and northeast South Carolina and adjacent waters of the Atlantic. California: Dispersed smoke covers much of central California and adjacent waters of the Pacific. A thin plume can be seen with the Humbolt fire in Butte county. Canada: Widespread thin smoke mixed with clouds can be seen over much of Saskatchewan and eastern Alberta. ALS
