DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

California Fires: Wildfires producing light to moderately dense smoke in northern California is drifting to the northeast through Siskiyou, Shasta, Trinity, and Modoc counties. The smoke continues to advance to the northeast and reaches southeastern Oregon, specifically in Klamath, Lake, Harney, and Owyhee counties. Some light smoke is also making its way into western Idaho. Furthermore, residual smoke from last evenings fires is present in western Montana, southern Alberta, and southern Saskatchewan, in Canada. Canada: Residual light to moderately dense smoke stretches across the southern region of the Northwest Territories, from the Great Slave Lake, eastward to Hudson Bay. Light smoke is also found in the northern regions of Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario as well. RCE
