DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Northwestern U.S. and northern California: Wildfires in Oregon and extreme northwestern California have produced moderate heavy to heavy smoke across the western half of Oregon and Washington northeast across southern British Columbia then east into central Alberta. Light to moderate smoke from a fire in Park County, MT, stretched 145 km to the northeast. Light smoke extended 90 km to the northeast of a blaze in Big Horn County, WY. Moderately dense to heavy smoke from a fire in Clark County, ID, extended 55 km to the southwest. Southern California: The fire in Fresno County has produced a significant area of light smoke that stretched northeast into central NV.
