DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0200Z JANUARY 28, 2009

Florida/Georgia:
A fire in west central Baker county in Florida is emitting a light to
moderately dense plume of smoke N into Charlton, Clinch, Pierce, Ware,
Brantley and Bacon counties in Georgia. The smoke extends 130 to 140
km from source. Fires in Dixie and Taylor counties are producing light
smoke N into Lafayette county. A fire in N Franklin county is emitting
moderately dense smoke N into Wakulla, Leon, Calhoun and Jackson counties.

Mississippi:
A fire on the border of Stone and Harrison counties is producing
moderately dense smoke N into George, Greene and Perry counties.
