DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

S Florida: A large fire in NW Monroe county produced a large area of moderately dense smoke that is moving WNW along the coastal zones of Monroe, Collier and S Lee counties. Texas: Numerous fires are producing thin to moderate smoke that are fairly narrow but extend a significant distance due to strong cold northerly winds. - Sand/Dust: Due to these high winds a patch of sandy/dusty soil in far SW Waller county on the Fort Bend county line near Brookshire is producing a plume of sand similar to those smoke areas...extending due south across central Fort Bend and W Brazoria county into the Gulf over 250km from the source, the plume is about 11km wide. Gallina THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES.
