THROUGH 0130Z APRIL 25, 2009
Gulf of Mexico: The large area of smoke in the western Gulf of Mexico from Mexican and Central American fires has persisted throughout the day. It appears to be making land fall in southeastern Texas and southern Lousisiana. Smoke from the large fire in central Collier County Florida, is drifting into the eastern Gulf of Mexico. East Coast: A large area of haze remains along the east coast of the US from North Carolina up to New Jersey. This is likely remnant smoke from the large fire in South Carolina which burned through the night and into the early day. -Salemi THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED.
