DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Northern Plains/Southern Canada: Light smoke from yesterday's fires across the Saskatchewan, Manitoba and North Dakota has shifted to a NE to SW line across S Manitoba and central North Dakota with a few new smoke plumes mixing in across SE NDak. The Red River Valley is also covered with smoke from yesterday as well. South Texas/GoM: Thin to moderate smoke covers nearly all of the Gulf of Mexico from the western tip of Cuba across the southern 3-4 counties of Texas to the front range of Sierra Mare Oriental in Mexico and southward to the source regions for the smoke in the Yucatan, N Guatemala and Mexican states along the Bay of Campeche. Gallina THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES.
