DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Southern Plains: A broad area of haze in northern Texas, Arkansas, southern Missouri, and southeast Kansas is slowly drifting to the northwest. California: An area of haze is situated over the southern region of the state. Canada: In Alberta, a couple wildfires are producing dense smoke plumes. These plumes are advancing to the east. More info on these plumes can be found on our GIS and HMS pages. RCE More information on additional areas of smoke associated with these fires and others can be found at the locations listed below. THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES.
