Plains/Mississippi Valley/Southeast US: A large area of haze/possibly thin remnant smoke stretches across the central and southern Plains eastward into the Lower/Tennessee Valley and moving into the southeast. This area continues to circulate around the region. Western Quebec: Wildfires continue to burn across this area of Quebec producing thin to moderately dense smoke. Widespread cloud cover made it difficult to see the full extent of the smoke. SO2 across the Western US: An area of SO2 extends from eastern California/western Nevada NNE into southern/central Idaho, across western/central Montana and into Alberta and Saskatchewan. This is a long and thin area of SO2. Another area is moving into British Columbia, Washington State and northern Oregon. This area of SO2 is moderately dense.
