DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Washington State/Montana/Canada: A band of SO2 stretches to the northeast from Washington state into southwest British Columbia, northern Montana, southern Alberta, and southern Saskatchewan. Another band of SO2 stretches to the northeast from central British Columbia, central Alberta, and northern Saskatchewan. Both bands are roughly 75-100km wide. Northern Plains/Manitoba: A band of light haze, possibly mixed with SO2, is near 95W, cutting across most of eastern Manitoba, south into eastern North and South Dakota, and western Minnesota. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES.
