DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Western Canada: Residual light smoke from last evening's fire, in addition to smoke from today, is situated over southern Alberta and Saskatchewan at this time and is drifting to the east. However, due to extensive cloud cover, the viewing of the smoke is limited. Additionally, light to moderately dense smoke can be found in southern BC due to wildfire activity. Georgia: Earlier this evening, a thin band of light smoke could be seen in vis imagery extending to the north around 83W before dissipating. RCE More information on the areas of smoke described above as well as others can be found at the locations listed below. THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES.
