DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Great Lakes: Residual smoke from fires in BC over the last week has become very faint and is very difficult to discern from hazy conditions across the western Great Lakes into the Red River Valley. Convergence of flow is leading to consolidation of these hazy pockets within anticyclonic flow across MN, IA, IL and WI. The most dense area can be seen moving due northalong Red River between ND/MN into Ontario. SE Canada: Residual smoke from fires in BC over the last week is moving SSE ahead of band of clouds covering much of New Brunswick, the Gulf of St. Lawrence and Newfoundland. The clouds have been overrunning the smoke to the point it was nearly obscured by sundown.
