DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Northern Plains/Great Lakes: Remnant thin smoke from S BC fires from over a week ago continues to stagnate across the Northern Plains with the pocket covering E ND/SD and NE NE into most of MN (minus the arrowhead). A portion of the thin smoke has been sheared out ahead of the main shortwave trof and associated cold front moving into the E Great Lakes area. The area covers from NE IA across the boarder of WI/IL across S Lake Michigan, S MI into Lake Erie and N OH...and possibly far W NY. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES.
