DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

South Central US: Remnant smoke from yesterdays numerous fires in the south central US, is stretching across the Red River valley in northeast Texas, into southeastern Oklahoma and northern Louisiana. Central Plains: Light remnant smoke is moving northeast across the region. Gulf of Mexico: Between Galveston, Texas and Lake Charles, Louisiana there is a light area of remnant smoke off the coast. Southwestern US: A band of aerosol of unknown origin and composition was again visible in this mornings' imagery. This area stretches from the Gulf of California across Arizona up to the Four Corners. MS THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES.
