DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Ohio Valley and Mid Atlantic: Light residual smoke from fires in the central Plains was discernible stretching from the Ohio Valley into Pennsylvania and then southeastward through the Mid Atlantic states and out over the ocean. Virginia and North Carolina: A fire burned throughout the day and into the evening near the Page-Rockingham county borders of Virginia. A moderate smoke plume extended south southeast into Franklin County, North Carolina...275km from the source. Louisiana and Texas: A fire that had been burning in Natchitoches County, LA, resulted in a detached lite to moderate plume of smoke that reached 275km from the source, stretching from extreme northeastern Texas southeastward into north central Louisiana. THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES.
