DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

South/Mississippi River area: Numerous agricultural burns took place this afternoon and evening in Arkansas and Missouri along the Mississippi River. Most of these light smoke plumes were observed moving to the northwest. California: Areas of blowing dust is situated in the south-central region the state drifting to the south. Utah: A massive, dense smoke plume is seen stretching several hundred miles from its source point in south/central Utah with the large wildfire that has been burning in that region for the past several days. RCE THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES.
