Gulf of Mexico: A narrow area of light smoke possibly mixed with other aerosols spreads N across the extreme western Gulf of Mexico along the Texas coast with smoke originating from fires in Mexico. Another area of light smoke is seen moving N across the eastern Gulf of Mexico along the eastern Florida coast. Smoke is most likely from fires burning in the Yucatan Peninsula and western Cuba. Florida: A very large fire burning on the border of Volusial and Brevard counties is producing moderately dense to dense smoke moving NE into the Atlantic. Another couple of fires burning in Putnam/St. Johns counties are emitting moderately dense to dense smoke moving NE into the Atlantic, but not before moving over the above mentioned counties and northern Flagler. Texas/Louisiana: A fire burning in Cameron counties is emitting moderately dense to dense smoke moving ESE into the Gulf of Mexico and across southern Vermillion county. An additional fire on the border of Chambers and Jefferson counties is producing moderately dense to dense smoke moving ESE into the Gulf of Mexico.
