Central and Eastern Canada: A large moderately dense to extremely dense smoke plume extends from central Manitoba through western and central Ontario to extreme southern Quebec into New York and New England and into the offshore waters of New England and the Northern Mid Atlantic. The source for this large and extremely dense smoke plume was the the numerous wildfires that continue to burn over central Manitoba and western and central Ontario. Northern Plains States and Southern Manitoba: An area of what is believed to be thin smoke was analyzed this evening over portions of the Dakotas and extending northeast towards northern Minnesota and southeastern portions of Manitoba. It is believed that the source for at least some of this smoke was likely from the wildfire over northeastern Wyoming just west of the Black Hills.
