DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Ontario: Remnant smoke continues to be pushed off to the east ahead of a cold front in western Ontario. It is believed the aerosol, which is mostly remnant smoke, originated from the numerous agricultural burns in the Dakotas and southern Canada along with the Juneberry wildfire in northern Minnesota. Gulf of Mexico: Smoke from fires in extreme southeastern Texas is moving southward and into the northern Gulf of Mexico this morning. Myrga THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE..TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
