DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0100z December 22, 2011
Nevada: Multiple areas of blowing dust/sand were observed in Humboldt, Pershing and Churchill counties. Other areas of blowing dust/sand were observed further east originating in Eureka and Nye counties. All of the blowing dust/sand begins between 1900Z-2200Z moves to the south and is visible through sunset. -Salemi THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE..TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
