Northwest US: An elongated area of unknown aerosol is stretched across northern Idaho and extends southwestward over northeast Oregon through the center of the state into southwest Oregon/northwest California. Northern/Central Plains: An area of remnant light smoke stretches from north to south and begins in southeast North Dakota, extends into eastern Southern Dakota and into northeast Nebraska. J Kibler THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE..TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
