DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Gulf of Mexico/Florida: Light smoke, likely from fires in Mexico and Central America, continues to coat the northern Gulf and extends east through central Florida and out into the Atlantic. Colorado: The High Park fire continues to generate moderately dense to dense smoke which is moving east into southeastern Nebraska. Labrador: A large fire complex in central Labrador is generating large amounts of dense smoke which is moving NNW. Newfoundland: Light smoke continues to circulate over Newfoundland. This is likely remnant smoke from previous days fires throughout Labrador and Quebec. -Salemi THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE..TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
