Eastern US/Canada: A large area of remnant smoke from the wildfires in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Wyoming is located over the east coast. The smoke extends from the Labrador/Quebec border south over the entire northeast ending along the eastern Ohio border, western W.Virgina border reaching the North/South Carolina border. East-Central US: A thin ribbon-like feature of light smoke stretches from Missouri, east into Illinois and Indiana. This feature is moving NW and is also likely remnant smoke from the wildfires out west. Wyoming: The Alpine Lake fire in NW Wyoming is producing large amounts of dense smoke which is streaming off to the south nearing the Colorado/Utah border. Idaho: The numerous fires in northern Idaho continue to emit moderately dense to dense smoke which is fanning out to the east and south. Washington: The fire in southwestern Washington State (likely the Cascade Creek fire complex) is emitting dense to moderately dense smoke which is moving the the west over the Pacific. -Salemi THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE..TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS.
