DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

North America: Remnant smoke from wildfires in northern British Columbia/Alberta/Northwest Territories and Idaho/Washington State is still located over large portions of North America. One area extends across Manitoba, southern Saskatchewan, Montana, Wyoming, the Dakotas and Nebraska. Another area drapes the entire south eastern US from Texas to the east coast and then north along the coastline extending past Newfoundland before dissipating. -Salemi THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE..TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
