Gulf of Mexico: A large area of thin remnant smoke is seen this evening over the western, northern, and eastern Gulf of Mexico. The bulk of this smoke is believed to have come from numerous fires burning in southern Mexico and melds into an area of cloudiness just north of the frontal boundary that is over the northern Gulf of Mexico. In addition, smoke from numerous ag burn fires in Cuba could be seen drifting northwest across the eastern Gulf of Mexico, eventually merging with the rest of the smoke. Florida Coast/Bahamas: Several large fires along the east coast of Florida were producing northeastward moving smoke plumes this evening, while multiple fires in the Bahamas were producing smoke that was drifting northward across the Atlantic.
