This dust is Saharan in origin and has been traveling over the Atlantic Ocean the last few days. Smoke: New Mexico/Arizona Border: Thin density smoke is visible in the SW corridor of New Mexico and SE corridor of Arizona on the border with Mexico. This smoke is most likely a product of the large fires taking place south of the US in northern Sonora, Mexico. Towards the northeast of the area of smoke is the wildfire Silver, which has been raging in SW New Mexico for the last few days. Oegerle Earlier Today... Western NW Territories: Thin to moderate smoke from the AK fires and isolated fires along the Yukon and McKenzie River Valleys cover much of SW portion of the NW Territories.
