The heaviest of the smoke resides near the large wildfires burning in Idaho, Oregon, and Wyoming...however some moderately dens smoke has wandered over the Dakotas and northern Nebraska throughout the afternoon. Canada: Fires continue to burn and product smoke over northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The smoke has been moving south all afternoon and is just north of the US/Canada border at sunset. New fires in eastern Quebec have been producing light to heavy smoke this afternoon. This smoke is moving east to northeast with the flow on the southern side of a low pressure system near the Hudson Straight.
