DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

South Central US: Remnant thin smoke from numerous agricultural fires from the last few days along the Lower Mississippi River Valley in E AR, NE LA and W MS have contributed to a large area of haziness across the Red River Valley of TX and OK (particularly W OK, TX panhandle, and N TX) into N LA, moving W along the western edge and slowly drifting S across LA. This are is to the south of well defined cold front can clear air behind it. The haziness also extends into S MS, S AL, S GA and along the Gulf Stream off the SC and NC coast line, where it is moving S over MS/AL and E over S AL/GA and NE along the coast... however it is likely this area is more other aerosols in higher concentration the smoke from other agricultural fires in AL/GA over the past few days. Southern Canadian Rockies/Fronthills: Moderately dense smoke from a fire between Eutsuk and Tetachuck lake in West Central BC from last night's output has crossed the Rockies around Grand Cache, AB and extends southeastward from there, covering a large portion of S Alberta between 52N and 55N, though mainly banked up along the front slopes of the Rockies. Gallina THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE..TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
