SMOKE: Canada/U.S: Smoke originating from wildfires across most of Northwest Territories (surrounding Great Slave Lake) and northern Saskatchewan covers portions of Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Saskatchewan,Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec in Canada and the Upper Midwest and Northern Plains of the US. The Lages fire in northeastern NV has resulted in an area of light to moderately dense smoke over north central Utah. An area of haze in the southern Plains and Gulf Coast states is likely due to a combination of Saharan dust and remnant smoke from fires burning along the Louisiana coast.
