DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

Weather clouds have moved into the area where detached smoke was seen... so little more can be added. No other areas of significant dust/sand or smoke could be seen. Gallina Prior discussion Southeast/Atlantic Ocean/Gulf of Mexico: Two plumes of light-density smoke are visible this morning in satellite imagery moving SE from the coasts of Florida, Georgia, and Alabama into the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. This smoke most likely originates from the agricultural burns taking place all over Southeast and Southern Plains this past week. Oegerle THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE..TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
