THROUGH 1700Z March 25, 2015
SMOKE Arkansas: A band of light density smoke was visible in satellite imagery this morning over a majority of the state of Arkansas moving NE. Due to the numerous plumes that resulted from the prescribed agricultural burns that took place in this region yesterday, it is likely this is the origin of this smoke. It is also possible that this area of smoke could be mixed in with some aerosols that are present in the region over the last few days. Oegerle THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE..TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS.
