SMOKE: Gulf of Mexico/Atlantic Ocean: An area of light density smoke is visible over much of the western Gulf coast of Mexico from the Bay of Campeche northward to off the Texas and Louisiana coasts. The full extend of the smoke cannot be determined, especially in the northern portion, due to extensive cloud cover. An area of moderately dense smoke covered nearly all of the Gulf of Honduras. Light density smoke was seen over the eastern Bahamas along an old frontal boundary.
