DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

SMOKE: California/Nevada: Areas of light to medium-density smoke is visible originating from the The Rough wildfire complexes in central California which extends north and east into Nevada and Oregon. Some light remnant smoke is visible streaming into the Pacific Ocean as far south as the Mexican border. The River Complex in northwestern California is generating light to moderately dense smoke which is moving north and then east through central Oregon. Oregon/Utah: Areas of light to medium-density smoke is visible across the state from multiple wildfires located there. This smoke is moving east into Idaho. Utah: An area of light to medium density smoke is visible originating from the Oak Grove fire in southwestern Utah. Smoke is visible moving to the SW into NW Arizona. Oegerle THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE..TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
