DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 2345Z November 20, 2015
DUST: Utah/Nevada An area of light blowing dust was observed this afternoon moving south across the salt flats of northwest Utah. There was also a possible area of light blowing dust seen in western Nevada moving to the west southwest just north of Stillwater. FIRES: A tremendous number of fires continue to be observed through much of the Northwest Us and British Columbia. The majority of these fires do not have detectable smoke associated with them. On of the larger plumes was observed with a fire in northern El Dorado county west of Lake Tahoe. The smoke was moving to the southwest. Ruminski THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE..TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
