DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

DUST New Mexico/West Texas: A large area of blowing dust was seen originating from White Sands in south central New Mexico and further south in portions of southern New Mexico and far northern Mexico and was moving to the east northeast into the southern Texas Panhandle and western Texas. Northwest Mexico: An area of light blowing dust was moving south through the central and along the eastern shore of the Gulf of California. Hanna THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE..TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
