DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0230Z March 19, 2016
A large area of aerosol, much of what is presumed to be remnant smoke, covered much of the Gulf of Mexico and extended north into portions of the Southern Plains states and then extended east through much of the Southeast states although cloud covered is hindering the smoke analysis over much of this region. The remnant and more recent smoke was from fire activity over the Plains states, Southeast states and over Mexico.
